Smith’s Engineering Works (Northern Ireland) Limited has received Invest NI Selective Financial Assistance in support of its investment and growth plans. Part financed by the Investment for Growth and Jobs Programme for Northern Ireland 2014-2020, co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund. This project will provide Smith’s Engineering Works with new machinery and equipment which will enable us to increase the sophistication and value of machined components we supply to the aerospace interiors supply chain.

50 Years

This year we are celebrating our 50th year in business. A historic landmark that has seen big changes and massive growth within the company. Formed in 1962 by John Smith to provide Engine remanufacturing for the automotive industry The company has grown with our 4 specialist divisions now employing over 25 people.
During this time staff turnover has been remarkably low with
3 staff members achieving or approaching 40 year's in service:

Stewart McMaster 40 years service - March 1972

Samuel Alexander 39 years service - October 1973

Thomas Hill 37 years service - May 1975
